Ive heard of Homosexuality - being attracted sexually to members of the same sex
and of course Heterosexuality - being attracted to members of the opposite sex
I wonder...
Is there an orientation where you are not attracted to member of either sex?
That's called asexuality, brainiac.

ReplyDelete@Mr. Anonymous...who the hell is you?
ReplyDeleteyou better get rid of this post bibd, before it ceases to be a choice.(your sexuality not the existence of the post in case my bad sentence construction confused you)
ReplyDelete@ ah assumptions assumptions...
ReplyDeleteso easily taken these days
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Asexuality
ReplyDeleteI know a couple of people who are, actually. It's an interesting concept, having relationships purely and only on the emotional level.
@shobhna
ReplyDeletethis post is part of my soul-searching on the whole relationships concept...
m not sure its worth losing my mental peace, time, effort and money
and we being humans..the emotional level rel-ships usually end up being more than that...i think its called sexual tension that drives it...though im no pundit here
@ Bibhash: Personally, I think it's perfectly worth spending time and effort thinkign about the "relationship concept", as you put it. It is what has driven most philosophers to their theses on life and existence.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's not us being humans. It's us being animals that leads to the natural conclusion.. again, except for asexuals.
@ well yes, i assumed animals (the generic usage) didnt waste time discussing if they should cuddle afterwards or something "emotional" like that.
ReplyDeleteit's probably a case of either do it or leave it...
i think its only humans who think both (emotions and sex) can be combined. bad idea in my mind!
I'm sure polar bears cuddle. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, really? I think it's just about the only thing that really separates us from the other animals, nevermind all the machinery and language and whatnot.
@ok im just saying that all the emotional jazz is not my cup of tea...not that ive been very successful with the sex part anyways...
ReplyDeletei'd rather have just the latter..or nothing at all...dyu see?
